INTEREST GROUPS

Interest Groups are one of the ways we connect at GraceLife. They are groups of people who gather around a common interest for Christ centered care and connection. The heart of our Interest Groups ministry is that all believers who worship Jesus and love one another, would embody the mission of GraceLife

to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ in authentic community.

Chittering

  • Would you be interested in looking at the heavens through binoculars or a telescope?

As a volunteer with Astrotourism WA (https://astrotourismwa.com.au/), I have my own telescope and can show people the night sky from my own backyard. However, for amateur astronomy I prefer to travel out into the country areas to see more crystal-clear night skies free from light pollution. The good news is that near Chittering there is a reasonably dark spot for looking at the night sky near the Great Northern Highway.

Warm clothing, a torch, and mosquito repellent are a must; and a trip out there can be arranged if people are interested.

Astrotourism WA also arranges special group trips to various country locations and in response to specific night-sky events, which I can let you know about.

If you are interested to know more, fill in the interest form. Your details will be forwarded to me and I’ll be in touch.

Embleton, Maylands, Hamersley

  • Monthly opportunity to play golf and invite a friend. Courses in mind are Maylands - on the river, Embleton (nr Bayswater) and Hamersley, City of Stirling.

Suggestion is to play 9 holes, cost is around $20, it is best that players have their own golf clubs. To hire clubs could be another $20, so this starts becoming an expensive outing. Seniors can get a discount.

Playing 9 holes takes around 2 hours, the courses have a tea room or kiosk for refreshments after the game.

The courses mentioned can be booked in advance with pay on the day facility. The best days to play would be Monday Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for booking reasons.

Ellenbrook meeting point

  • GraceLife Riders are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who meet up once a month to ride together, usually on a Saturday morning. Meeting together for friendship and fellowship, we enjoy a coffee, and sometimes a breakfast when we reach our destination.

Our rides start and finish at the entrance of GraceLife Ellenbrook Campus, and we are usually out for about three hours.

Our vision is to welcome riders to our group who do not know Jesus yet, showing them the love of Christ as we discuss motorcycles and our testimonies.

All rides are advertised on our Facebook Messenger page.. find us at GraceLife Riders

Garden plots available

Malaga. hub

  • We are wanting to create a community garden where people can potter around, have their own veggie bed if they wish and share in the maintenance and produce of communal garden beds.

You do not need to know anything about gardening and you are welcome to just come along and chat.

    Currently Thursdays 3-5pm

  • ‘The Father is seeking worshippers who worship in spirit and in truth!’

    And

‘He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!’

Our Morning Fire group come early in the morning to worship the Lord with all of our hearts, souls and minds, and to gratefully with joy, receive the reward of His Presence among us as we seek His face, not His hand. We carry a hunger and expectation to meet with Him each time we come together.

As a bonus, He speaks to us, heals us, and fills us with visions, dreams, pictures and prophetic words that we share with one another as He leads our time together, often interceding for others.

    We share communion together.

Two hours in His presence often feels like 10 minutes.

We are not waiting for revival to happen. We are experiencing revival together as believers who love Him and are setting aside a few minutes early in the morning to give Him glory together.

    It’s wonderful!

You are most welcome to join us.

Cooking | Fortnightly

Times and days - TBA

Midland

  • My goal is that anyone who wishes to get together to fellowship and cook some meals together can do so.  We will chip in towards ingredients and cook up 3-4 meals to each take home to feed our families either that week or to pop in the freezer.

We could do a mix of precooked meals to reheat, or just prepared ingredients to freeze and then throw in the slow cooker to cook at a later time.

Twice a term

Wednesdays: 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Malaga Hub

  • G L Jam is an informal gathering at the Malaga hub for musicians of all

worship and to encourage each other.
They meet twice a term on Wednesday nights, 7.00 – 8.30 pm.
G L Jam is not a rehearsal or a club! Come when you can. It is relaxed
and a great way to connect with other musicians. It’s open to anyone.

the music. There will be chord charts to follow.

Contact Joe & Colleen Campione (GL Malaga) for more info and to register

updates and song lists, and on FaceBook.
